Canva pricing

Pricing breakdown Design Tools

Canva prices in yearly terms: Free, Pro at US$144/year for one person and Business at US$250/year per person, with Enterprise on custom terms. Buyers misjudge the AI allowance — Pro's '10x more AI' is a shared monthly pool that Ultra tools drain 100 times faster than Standard ones.

Plans & rates

What Canva lists at

The vendor's own published rates, exactly as the rate card states them — including the tiers that only carry a price once you talk to sales.

The 6 costs Canva does not lead with

Seats, overages, add-ons and the annual-commitment clause — the lines that turn a list price into an invoice. This is the part worth reading twice before you sign.

Displayed prices exclude tax — Canva adds sales tax, GST or VAT at checkout based on your billing address

The AI allowance is a shared monthly pool: Ultra AI tools burn it roughly 100x faster than Standard ones, so 'up to 2,000 uses' on Pro can mean as few as 20 Ultra video generations

Canva Pro is licensed for exactly one person — a two-person team must move to Business at US$250/year each, nearly doubling the per-head cost

Extra AI capacity requires the AI Pass, a recurring paid add-on to Pro or Business (it is not available on Free)

On annual Business billing, team-size increases are invoiced quarterly — members you add keep accruing charges until you prune the member list

Leonardo.Ai Essential features are excluded during the Business free trial, and IP-indemnity content controls plus dedicated support carry 100-150 seat minimums on Enterprise

Room to move

How to pay less than list

Take the yearly price and treat monthly as a convenience fee: Canva's own toggle says yearly billing saves from 16%, so Pro at US$144/year effectively costs about US$12 a month while monthly billers pay more for the same product. Trial before you buy — Pro and Business both offer free trials, you can invite teammates during a Business trial, and Canva confirms you are not billed at all until the trial ends. Check the giveaway routes before paying anything: registered not-for-profits get Canva Pro-level features free for a team of up to 50 users (with 50% off additional Enterprise seats), and K-12 educators, students and qualifying school districts get Canva Education free — these are documented programmes, not promo codes. Exploit pay-as-you-grow billing on Business: you are only charged for people who actually accept invitations, charges are adjusted monthly (quarterly on annual plans) and admins get notice before annual top-ups, so audit your member list before each renewal and remove dormant seats — every pruned member saves US$250 a year. Do not buy the AI Pass reflexively: Pro already includes up to 2,000 Standard, 200 Premium or 20 Ultra AI uses a month and Business doubles that; only add the Pass (40x Pro's allowance) once you have actually hit the ceiling in consecutive months. If you are over roughly 100 seats, stop self-serving and talk to sales — Enterprise unlocks invoicing, SSO and custom terms, and features like IP-indemnity controls only appear at the 100-seat minimum anyway, which gives you a natural anchor for asking for volume pricing. Finally, remember prices exclude tax, so budget your regional VAT, GST or sales tax on top of the sticker price.

Find your tier

Which plan is actually yours

Matched to the limits that bite first, not to the tier the vendor highlights on its own pricing page.

Solo founder

→ Pro

US$144/year for one person unlocks premium templates, the background remover and scheduling — the tools that actually save founders hours — and yearly billing beats paying the 16%+ monthly premium.

Small team (5-15)

→ Business

Pro is strictly single-user, so teams need Business at US$250/year per person for shared Brand Kits, approvals and admin controls — and pay-as-you-grow billing means you only pay for members who accept invites.

Scaling company

→ Enterprise

Once you need SSO, SCIM, audit logs and multi-team brand governance, Enterprise's custom pricing is the only route — and at 100+ seats you have real leverage to negotiate.

Canva pricing FAQ

The questions that decide which plan you end up on.

Ask us something else

Yes, and it is one of the best in SaaS: the full drag-and-drop editor, 1.6M+ templates, 4.7M+ stock assets, 5GB storage and a monthly AI allowance of up to 200 Standard or 20 Premium uses. The catches are the single 3-colour Brand Kit and no Ultra AI access.

Canva displays yearly prices (Pro US$144/year, Business US$250/year per person) and states that yearly billing saves from 16% compared with paying monthly. If you will use Canva for more than a few months, annual is clearly the better deal.

Canva does not publish coupon codes. The genuine routes to paying less are yearly billing (from 16% off), free trials of Pro and Business, free Canva for K-12 education, and Canva for Nonprofits — free Pro-level features for one team of up to 50 users.

No — Canva states only one person can use a Pro account. Teams of two or more need Canva Business at US$250/year per person, which adds collaboration, shared Brand Kits and admin tools.

Canva Teams is closed to new sign-ups and upgrades. Existing Teams customers keep their plan unless they switch or cancel, but new Business-only features will not be added to Teams — Canva Business is the successor plan.

Paid plans share one monthly pool across Standard, Premium and Ultra AI tools. Pro stretches to roughly 2,000 Standard, 200 Premium or 20 Ultra uses; Business and Enterprise double that. Heavier tools drain the pool faster, and the allowance resets monthly. The AI Pass add-on extends it for Pro and Business.

No. Canva's prices exclude applicable tax; sales tax, GST or provincial taxes are calculated from your billing address at checkout, so the charged total will usually be a little higher than the sticker price.

100 Brand Kits with approvals, team admin tools, 500GB storage, a 10% Canva Print discount, double the AI allowance, and bundled access to Leonardo.Ai Essential and Flourish — though Leonardo.Ai Essential is only activated after your first successful Business payment, not during the trial.

Every figure on this page is the vendor's own published rate at the time we read the rate card (5 Jul 2026). Where a tier is sold by quote we say so rather than guess a number. The pricing score rates the pricing model, not the product — the product is scored separately on its own rubric.
