This week's drop is voice-and-audio first. ElevenLabs is running a 7-day flash discount on annual Creator and Pro plans (40% off through May 5). Castmagic continues its new per-episode pricing model from Issue #2. And Wispr Flow — the dictation tool the editorial team has used internally for 90 days — gets its first SaaSTweaks deal page.

Voice and audio tooling has matured faster than text-AI in the last 12 months. The latency floor for synthesis dropped below 200ms, dictation accuracy crossed the threshold where it is faster than typing for most workflows, and per-episode podcast workflows became economically reasonable for podcasts under 1,000 downloads per episode. This issue picks the three deals where the editorial team has actual hands-on time.

ElevenLabs: 40% off annual Creator and Pro plans

The biggest discount ElevenLabs has offered on its annual plans since launch. Creator drops from $264/year to $158/year and Pro from $1,320/year to $792/year. The flash window is 7 days (through May 5). For teams already on the monthly Creator plan, the math: annual at the discount is 5 months of monthly pricing — so anyone planning to keep the tool past month five comes out ahead by switching to annual now.

Caveats: the discount applies to new annual signups and to monthly-to-annual upgrades. Existing annual customers do not get the price reduction at renewal automatically; the renewal date matters. Teams whose renewal is more than 60 days out should email the account team and ask for the discount to be honored at the upcoming renewal — most ElevenLabs reps will grant this if asked, but not if not.

Castmagic: per-episode tier continues

From Issue #2: Castmagic's pay-per-episode tier ($9 per episode processed, no monthly minimum) is now the right entry point for fortnightly and monthly podcasts. After 30 days of internal use, two notes on the tier. First, the per-episode rate covers full transcription, chapter generation, and 5 derivative outputs (LinkedIn post, Twitter thread, show notes, episode title suggestions, blog draft). Second, the per-episode pricing is genuinely a la carte; episodes deleted within 24 hours of upload do not bill.

Wispr Flow: editorial team review

Wispr Flow is a desktop dictation tool the editorial team adopted in February. The first 30 days were rough (calibration, vocabulary tuning) but the second 60 days have shown consistent ~140 wpm dictation with ~95% accuracy on technical SaaS vocabulary. The Pro plan ($15/month) is a meaningful productivity gain for any writer producing more than 5,000 words per week. The free tier is a useful evaluation but caps at a daily word count that real writing workflows hit by mid-morning.

What to skip this week

A new "AI podcast clip generator" launched at $99/month with a 7-day free trial. The output quality is similar to what Castmagic, Opus Clip, or Riverside Magic Clips already produce for less. New entrants in the AI shortform-clip space need to be evaluated against incumbents, not against the marketing promise.

Next week

SaaS Tuesday Issue #5 covers the design and product-build stack: Figma, Linear, and a new player in the AI-design category that has been picking up real adoption inside Y Combinator-backed teams.
