For a solo creator that single feature can pay for the whole year.
How it works
You build a school under your subdomain (you-name.teachable.com) or connect a custom domain on the Pro plan upwards. Each school can host unlimited courses (paid plans), one-on-one coaching products with built-in scheduling, and digital downloads. The course player handles video hosting via Wistia, lesson dripping, quizzes with grading, certificates of completion, course compliance (must-watch progression) and a basic affiliate programme. Payment goes through Teachable Payments (their Stripe layer) or PayPal, and Teachable can act as merchant of record so it handles sales tax/VAT calculation, collection and remittance — the only platform in the price band that does this turnkey.
Marketing tools are deliberately light. There is order bumps, upsells, coupons and basic email broadcasts, but if you want full marketing automation you connect ConvertKit, Mailchimp or your own funnel via Zapier or the native API.
